The Hon Frances Stanley, High Sheriff of Cambridgeshire and Deputy Lieutenant, visited Ormiston Families’ Stars bungalow in Cambridge this week to hear all about the charity’s work.
She met staff from our Cambridgeshire services – Stars, YOUnited, Breaking Barriers, Stronger Together and Mpower – to hear about how we are supporting children and young people in the county to have brighter futures.
There was also an opportunity to meet Sadie Northfield, whose son Gilby worked with our Stars Bereavement service after the death of her husband Matt in late 2024. Sadie explained how Stars had helped Gilby with the loss of his dad and subsequent death of his great grandmother a few months later.
We were delighted to host the High Sheriff and share the charity’s work with her.
